Awnings - Shedding a Little Shade
from: Buffalo Magazine April 8, 1984

Buffalo may not be renowned for its sunny clime, but there's more than enough sunshine to make it an awning city.

They look festive. They look like fun. They're more colorful than your house dares to be. They say, "Look, it's summer!" They are gaily colored awnings, and they add panache like nothing else. (Read More)

  Hat Trick

If not the most fashionable door in town, the side entrance of Al-Ross Sports Screening scores with a practical and creative style.

Joe Cellino, owner of the business at 2756 Seneca St., credits Marty Kohler of Cheektowaga's Kohler Awning Inc. with the idea. When Kohler came to discuss the West Seneca shop's awning needs, Cellino says, "He was sitting here looking at the door when he said, 'I could make a baseball cap out of it.'" (Read More)

"No doubt about it, the look of the building that Kohler Awning was able
to give us, to turn this buidling into a castle, has been a major reason
why our enrollment has doubled since we made the transformation,"Beesley says.
He describes how the creative team at Kohler designed colorful awnings and
flags, transforming an ordinary building into a castle complete with towers.
